Having separately studied both Law and English Language and Linguistics at University, I began my career in writing by volunteering. I followed the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) Northern Formula Ford 1600 Championship at its rounds across the north of England. My reports were widely published on the BRSCC website.
I then took up my role at Motorsport News, part of the Haymarket Media Group, in June 2012. My role initially involved caring for the paper's Karting section, before I was tasked with reporting on the support series' to the British Touring Car Championship.
I also reported on selected rounds of the British GT Championship in 2015, including its overseas round at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, which was published in both Motorsport News and Autosport.
With the amalgamation of the national departments of both Motorsport News and Autosport, my position as Deputy Racing Editor meant that much of the national racing news each week was published in both publications. I also regularly contributed opinion columns in both.
My reports from each BTCC round were also published in both MN and Autosport.
At the start of 2015, I founded motorsport Public Relations firm Grandstand PR, catering for clients, both drivers and teams, who compete in national racing championships within the UK and overseas.
Due to a family illness, I chose to leave Haymarket Media Group in October 2015 to support a seriously ill family member and become a Director of family business, Printing World Ltd, a print management company operating for 11 years.
